Martyrs' Cemetery of Siming Mountain in Zhangcun

The Martyrs' Cemetery of Siming Mountain in Zhangcun is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhejiang Province.

The Martyrs' Cemetery of Siming Mountain in Zhangcun is located in Zhangcun, Zhangshui Town, Haishu District, Ningbo City. Established in December 1944, it was built to commemorate revolutionary martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives in battle. It was jointly initiated by the New Fourth Army’s Eastern Zhejiang Guerrilla Column, the Siming Special Office, and the YinFeng County Office. Twelve fallen martyrs, including Li Min, Xu Ying, and Yan Peiyuan, were buried at the right front of the current martyrs' cemetery, and a foundation stone for the “Monument to Martyrs Who Died in the Anti-Japanese and Anti-Collaborationist Struggle” was erected in front of the tomb. In July 1951, the Second Military Sub-district of Zhejiang Province, the Ningbo Regional Administration, and the Yin County People’s Government built a martyrs' cemetery at the original site, constructing a Revolutionary Martyrs Monument and a domed circular tomb. The remains of the twelve martyrs were reinterred in this tomb. Later, the cemetery and the martyrs' tombs were expanded and supplemented. There are now five domed circular tombs and one rectangular large tomb, housing the remains of over 130 martyrs. The cemetery currently covers an area of 12,800 m² and includes commemorative structures such as a martyrs' deeds exhibition room, a martyrs' ashes chamber, and a revolutionary martyrs' deeds exhibition hall.

It was announced as part of the second batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in March 1963.
