Guide: The Stone Lady: On the western side of Wulong Mountain, southeast of Daxi Town, there stands a huge rock, towering alone without support, resembling a beautiful woman, known as the Stone Lady Peak. From afar, the Stone Lady appears to have her hair tied up in a bun, with a long neck and slender shoulders—charming and lovely. When shrouded in clouds and mist, the peak’s silhouette dances gracefully, enhancing its beauty. Legend has it that in ancient times, this area was an ocean, and a young woman, whose husband had gone fishing at sea and never returned, climbed the mountain with her seven children to look for him. Overcome with emotion, she turned into stone. Around the Stone Lady, there are other attractions such as the Brush Rock, Mink Rock, Old Monkey Viewing the Scenery, Tiger Descending the Mountain, Hidden Pearl Valley, Little Stone Forest, Flying Rock, and Filial Son Worshiping the Coffin, making it one of the most captivating sights in Wenling. Jinping Mountain: Located southeast of Daxi Town, “its peculiar cliffs stand like a screen, and in spring and summer, flowers of five colors bloom like brocade.” During the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhu Xi and others visited the area and left behind the praise, “The foot of Jinping Mountain is a perfect place for secluded living.” The mountain features the Standing Brush Rock, Inkstone Pond, Parrot Rock, Frog Shell Cave, Yellow Dragon Pool, Echoing Sky Cave, Warrior Rock, Couple Rock, Bell Rock, Eagle Beak Rock, and Heavenly Drum. At the summit are Jade Tower Rock, Longevity Star Rock, and Longevity Star Cave. On the western side are Lion Crown, Pearl Snatching Rock, and Stone Monkey Rock. Introduction: A provincial-level scenic spot, also known as the “Sacred Mountain and Buddhist Realm.” Located in Daxi Town, Wenling City, it is an extension of the northern Yandang Mountain range. Based on ancient volcanic crater landforms, it combines steep cliffs, unique peaks, deep valleys, waterfalls and streams, and pastoral scenery. With a long history of religious activity, it is a high-level mountainous scenic area suitable for scientific education, aesthetic tourism, vacationing, and religious activities. Daxi Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Wenling City. It is one of the four major towns in Wenling. Established as Daxi Township in 1949, it became a commune in 1958, reverted to township status in 1983, and was upgraded to a town in 1985.
