Donghui Park

Donghui Park is located in the city center of Wenling, bordered by the Sports Center to the east, Wanquan Road to the south, Donghui Road to the west, and East People's Road to the north. Covering a total area of 22.8 hectares (approximately 342 acres), it is a mountain park that fully considers human needs, connects closely with nature, and serves as a comprehensive ecological park integrating leisure and recreation.

The park mainly consists of four major scenic areas — Donghui Pavilion, Shuguang Pavilion, the South Square, and the North Square — along with other supporting facilities. The park’s landscaping maintains year-round greenery with seasonal variations, featuring flowers blooming in every season. The plant selection primarily includes wildflowers, wild grasses, and native tree species, highlighting natural landscape design. It is a landmark highlight project in downtown Wenling and serves as a major "green lung" of the city.

At the entrance of the North Square, the park has installed a scenic spot map and a tourist guide map. In the center of the square stands a stainless steel seabird sculpture, which is 16.8 meters high, 12.8 meters wide, weighs 36 tons, and covers a total area of 630 square meters. Using an abstract style, it symbolizes the passionate determination, confidence, hard work, entrepreneurial spirit, and aspirations for economic takeoff of the people of Wenling, reflecting the spirit of the new era. The musical fountain surrounding the seabird sculpture spans 2,826 square meters. It is a combined sound- and program-controlled fountain with diverse performance forms and shapes, including the Pillar Jet (30 meters high), Waltz, Water Curtain, Fireworks, Seabird, Time Tunnel, and Peacock Display. The water interspersed among the seabirds symbolizes Wenling as a coastal city rich in resources.

Jiulongxuan is situated on the hillside east of the North Square. It is a Jiangnan-style garden leisure area composed of a main building, corridors, and traditional pavilions. Hidden behind the pavilion complex lies the Jiulong Waterfall, formed by two-tiered cascades with a majestic presence. Visitors can enjoy the waterfall from the railing, listen to the sound of flowing water, or step into the waterfall area to experience the immersive feeling of being within the scenery.

In the southeastern part of the square is a children's playground equipped with eight play facilities, including swings, a suspension bridge, and skateboards — making it a great spot for kids during holidays. Nearby is a modern, relaxing membrane canopy tent where visitors can take a short rest.

Donghui Pavilion is located on the western hilltop of Donghui Park, aligned with Jinping Park and the Sports Center, and facing the Stone Lady Peak of Wulong Mountain in the distance. It is a Ming-style, three-visible-five-hidden, 500-foot cross-ridged ancient building. Comprising a mountain gate archway, a fan-shaped pavilion, corridors, and the main pavilion, it is a landmark project of Wenling City.
