Zhangjiamiao Temple

Zhangjiamiao Temple: Located in Block B of Lianshu Village, Zeguo Town, it was originally named Liangqiao Temple and was rebuilt in the fifth year of the Jiaqing reign during the Qing Dynasty (1791). The temple houses a plaque dating back to the fifteenth year of the Jiaqing reign (1801). It consists of a main hall, east and west side rooms, and a gatehouse, among which the main hall and side rooms are original structures. During renovations, local residents reinforced and repainted the exterior walls and wooden columns, while the gatehouse is a new structure.

Although small in size, Zhangjiamiao Temple blends harmoniously with the surrounding rural environment. It is a relatively historic local building and holds certain historical and cultural value for the study of Wenling’s local culture.

Lianshu Village: Lianshu Village is located in the southeastern part of Zeguo Town with convenient transportation. It borders Xiadian Village to the east, Talong Village to the south, Shuangfeng Village to the west, and Sanwang Village to the north. The village covers an area of 1.5 square kilometers, with 931 mu of arable land mainly used for planting rice and sugarcane. It was named after the ancient Lianshu Bridge. Since “Lian” and “Lian” (联) share similar pronunciation and meaning, it was later phonetically adapted to “Lianshu” (联树) Bridge. It was once the site of the former Lianshu Commune and has a long history as the political, economic, and cultural center of the commune.
