The former site of the headquarters of the 2nd Regiment of the 13th Red Army of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army is a cultural heritage site protected by Wenling City and a classic destination on China’s red tourism routes.

The former site of the headquarters of the 2nd Regiment of the 13th Red Army of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army is located in Tongjiali, Yangcheng Village, Wugen Town, Wenling City, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province. The entrance gate is a brick-and-wood structure, 3.9 meters wide, 12.34 meters deep, and 2 meters high, covering an area of 9 square meters. The houses and surrounding walls inside the gate have been demolished. Wugen was a revolutionary base during the Second Revolutionary Civil War. The headquarters of the 2nd Regiment (also referred to as the 2nd Division) of the 13th Red Army was located within this gate. It is the only surviving revolutionary site from Wugen’s old revolutionary base area.

Yangcheng Village: Located southeast of Wugen Town, Yangcheng Village is surrounded by mountains to the southeast and bordered by Zhugai Line Highway to the west. It boasts beautiful scenery with clear mountains and green waters and enjoys convenient transportation. In the 1950s, the villagers worked hard to build a reservoir, and in the 1970s, they constructed a power station that provided electricity for lighting in four villages. The village has a total population of 1,458, with 39 Party members serving 427 households. It has 490 mu of paddy fields, 250 mu of dry land, and over 800 mu of forestland, including 250 mu dedicated to various fruits and 90 mu for aquaculture development.
