Kiln Site on the East Bank

The Kiln Site on the East Bank is a cultural heritage conservation unit of Wenling City.

The Kiln Site on the East Bank is located on the hillside at the eastern foot of Jianfeng Mountain in Zhaoyang Village, Daxi Town. It is a celadon kiln site. The site spans 50 meters from east to west and 40 meters from north to south, with a deposit layer about 1 meter thick. On the hillside, the outline of a kiln bed is faintly visible, measuring approximately 120 meters in length and about 1.5 meters in width. Artifacts include bottles, pots, bowls, plates, and basins. The shapes are mostly rugged, with a small number of bowls and plates being more delicate. The glaze is thin and grayish-green, similar to qingci (pale bluish porcelain), and the body is relatively coarse.

Zhaoyang Village: Zhaoyang Village is located in the northwest of Daxi Town, Wenling City. It currently has 379 households, 1,248 residents, and 62 Party members. In 2014, the village collective economy generated an income of 6 million yuan, and the per capita income of rural residents was 48,000 yuan. In recent years, the village Party branch has strengthened its core role as a fortress by implementing measures such as intra-Party democratic discussions, team-based Party member services, the “three-three system” for village-level organization operations, and intra-Party care.
