The stone ornamental pillars in front of Xie Duo’s Tomb are a cultural relic protection unit of Wenling City.

The stone ornamental pillars in front of Xie Duo’s Tomb are located in front of Dameng Mountain in Xiayang’ao Village, Daxi Town. These octagonal pillars measure 0.15 meters on each side and stand 4.1 meters tall, crafted from white stone. The two pillars are spaced 4.8 meters apart. Their surfaces and capitals are carved with motifs of white cranes and auspicious clouds, and their tops are shaped like inverted lotuses. Xie Duo (1435–1510), courtesy name Mingzhi, art name Fangshi, became a Jinshi (imperial scholar) in the eighth year of the Tianshun reign. He served as a Shujishi (probationary scholar) in the Hanlin Academy, rose to the position of Right Vice Minister of Rites and concurrently as Libationer of the Imperial College, and was one of the representative poets of the Chaling School. The stone ornamental pillars in front of Xie Duo’s Tomb are currently the only surviving pair of such structures discovered in Wenling, holding considerable historical value.

It is a semi-mountainous village with an area of 0.66 square kilometers.
