Located in Lizhai, Da’ao, and Tangshan villages in Daxi Town, Wenling City. It is currently the earliest known ancient city site in Taizhou City and one of the few early Han Dynasty city sites in the province that has undergone archaeological surveys and trial excavations. The ancient city has a rectangular layout, stretching 390 meters from east to west and 260 meters from north to south, with an interior area of approximately 100,000 square meters.

In March 2003, it was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Daxi Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Wenling City. It is one of the four major towns in Wenling. Established as Daxi Township in 1949, it was reorganized as a commune in 1958, restored as a township in 1983, and upgraded to a town in 1985. In 1992, Xinjian, Zhaoyang, and Guancheng townships were merged into it. It is located in the northwest part of the city, 14.5 kilometers from the municipal government. Covering an area of 53.8 square kilometers with a population of 54,000, the northern plains feature a network of rivers and numerous reservoirs, ensuring abundant water resources. National Highway 104 and the Ningbo–Taizhou–Wenzhou Expressway pass through the town, with an interchange bridge located at Liangshan.
