Xiandu Yangzhi Pavilion

According to the Qing Dynasty’s *Liu Feng Qiao Ke’s “A Brief Resting Sketch of Xiandu”*, Yangzhi Pavilion was located by the Lianjin Stream outside Tongzi Peak and was built around the Ming Dynasty. It was originally a place for visitors to admire the majestic view of Dinghu Peak, but later fell into disrepair.

The new pavilion was rebuilt with donations from Taiwanese compatriots Mr. Li Yanpin and Mr. Shu Shoufu. Featuring a double-eaved, twelve-pillar design in the shape of the Yellow Emperor’s ancestral hall, it exudes an air of simplicity and elegance. The three characters “Yangzhi Pavilion” were inscribed by Li Ying from Huzhou, while the long couplet inside was composed and written by Wu Yaqing.
