The Snow Peak Village Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

Snow Peak Village is located at the foot of Snow Peak Mountain, the highest peak in the western part of Jinyun, and is an old revolutionary base area with a glorious history. As early as 1930, impoverished farmers in the Snow Peak Mountain area rose up in arms, establishing the "Yongkang Workers' and Peasants' Army Snow Peak Mountain Guerrilla Unit" to resist the reactionary rule of the Kuomintang and combat the feudal landlord class. They later established local party organizations, the Third Brigade of the Zhejiang Conscripts’ Self-Rescue Army, and successively served as important headquarters and logistical bases for the Southern Zhejiang East Party Organization, the Second Guerrilla Column of the Zhejiang East People’s Liberation Army in the Southern Route Military Sub-district, and the Sixth Detachment of the Zhejiang East People’s Liberation Army. In 1987, the people of "Snow Peak" once again captured public attention with their extraordinary entrepreneurial feat — spending 13 years chiseling a road out of the mountain, one pickaxe strike at a time, embodying their pursuit of happiness. They completed the 10-kilometer-long, 6-meter-wide “Happiness Road” that connected the village to the outside world, etching their spirit of “self-reliance, hard struggle, perseverance, and indomitable will” into the towering mountains. In 2007, with strong support from provincial, municipal, and county-level Party history offices, the “Snow Peak Village Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall” was established. The hall displays precious historical materials including artifacts, documents, and photographs from the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War periods, showcasing how provincial and regional special committee leaders directed armed struggles in Snow Peak, eliminated local reactionary forces, and suppressed landlords. The Snow Peak Village Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall was successively recognized as a county-level and then a city-level patriotic education base in 2008 and 2010, respectively.
