Suichang Gold Mine National Mining Park is located in the northeastern part of Suichang County, 16 kilometers from the county seat and 10 kilometers from the Suichang East Exit of the Longli Expressway. It enjoys a superior location and convenient transportation. The Suichang Gold Mine is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and one of the first 28 national mining parks, covering a total area of 33.6 square kilometers.

The history of gold and silver mining in the mining area is long-standing. As early as the Shangyuan era of the Tang Dynasty, there were already mining and smelting activities. During the Song Dynasty, the Yongfeng Silver Mine was established. In the Yongle and Xuande eras of the Ming Dynasty, it became the largest source of mined silver in the country. Its prospecting, mining, and smelting technologies were world-leading for a long time. The park features numerous mining sites, among which the Huangyan Pit ancient mines from the Tang and Ming Dynasties are the largest in scale and best preserved, serving as representative sites to understand China’s ancient "fire-setting" mining method and "cupellation" smelting technique.

The gold mine park, consisting of the Gold Museum, Tang Dynasty Gold Pit, Ming Dynasty Gold Pit (accessible via a mining train), Time Tunnel, Golden Peach Garden, Gold Smelting Sightseeing Area, Gold Panning Experience Area, and YinKeng Mountain Eco-Leisure Tourist Area, is hailed as a golden world in a green oasis. It is an ideal destination for gold craft science tours, gold dragon tunnel explorations, and gold pit adventure experiences.
