Scenic Area Overview:

Beidou Cliff Scenic Area is located 60 kilometers from Suichang County and stands atop a mountain peak at an elevation of 1,000 meters. It features lush natural vegetation, fresh air rich in negative ions, a cool and pleasant climate with the highest annual temperature not exceeding 30°C, and a well-preserved ecological environment. The area showcases typical Danxia landform scenery, with towering peaks and bizarre rock formations. Attractions include high-altitude platforms, highland wetlands, primitive stands of Huadong willows, and clear springs with cascading waterfalls. The rock strata are horizontally layered, and through river erosion and intensified weathering, they have formed uniquely shaped and richly scenic red-bed landforms. The mountains glow like sunrise, and their shapes resemble pillars, towers, fortresses, bells, and animals — rising abruptly from the flat ground with steep, striking forms. Among the most prominent are Shimu Rock, Shouxing Rock, Golden Bell Rock, and Dagao Rock. Dagao Rock has a vertical height of over 260 meters and is known as the “World’s Tallest Danxia High Rock,” presenting a spectacular sight. Its pillar-like form rises abruptly, massive and imposing.
