The Fish Pond Under the Cypress Tree is a municipal-level cultural heritage site of Jinhua City.

The Fish Pond Under the Cypress Tree is located in Matoufang Village, Tangya Town.

In 2010, it was designated as part of the third batch of municipal-level cultural heritage sites by the Jinhua Municipal People's Government.

Tangya Town: Tangya Town is located in the eastern part of Jindong District, approximately 15 kilometers from downtown Jinhua. It borders Xiaoshun Town to the east, Dongxiao Subdistrict to the west, the Yiwu River to the southeast (across which lies Lipu Town), and Caozhai Town to the north. The town administers 48 administrative villages, has a population of 29,000, and covers an area of 53.13 square kilometers. It is recognized as a provincial-level education-strong town and a “satellite town” of Jindong District. In recent years, Tangya Town has vigorously implemented four major strategies — “openness-driven development, industrialization, urbanization, and urban-rural integration” — achieving significant economic and social progress.
