In 2010, it was designated as part of the third batch of municipal-level cultural heritage sites by the Jinhua Municipal People's Government.

It is traversed by Provincial Highway 03, the Hang-Jin-Qu Expressway, and the Jin-Li-Wen Expressway, offering convenient transportation. The town covers an administrative area of 56.98 square kilometers, includes 40 administrative villages, and has a total population of 28,500. Chisong Town boasts beautiful landscapes, abundant resources, a rich cultural heritage, and a simple, honest folk culture.
