The Dongyang Hengdian Dream Valley Scenic Area consists of four major zones: the Dream Culture Village, Hengdian Old Street, Jiangnan Water Town, and the Water World. Covering an area of 430 acres, it is a large-scale nighttime film and television experience theme park that primarily showcases various natural phenomena and landscapes such as volcanic eruptions and flash floods, supplemented by a variety of amusement facilities and live performances.

The "Dream Culture Village" mainly includes the Starry River Plaza Tonight, the Ape Family Home, the Eagle King Divine Waterfall, the Ancient Imperial Palace, the Golden Poplar, the Blue Moon Gate, the Earth-Shattering Ride, the Cheerful Frog Jump, the Lele Castle, the Rock 'n' Roll bleachers, the Pirate Storm, the Amazon Express, the Java Jump, the Arjuna Hammer, the Snowfield Flying Eagle, the Lucky Carousel, the Snow Mountain Moon, the Prayer Wheel, and the Mani Stone Pile.

The "Jiangnan Water Town" captures the essence of the water towns in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, vividly displaying the daily life and diverse charm of the Jiangnan region during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period. One of the two main shows in the scenic area, "Flash Flood," is spectacularly staged here every evening.

The "Water World" covers an area of 90 acres and is modeled after the geographical features of the Mediterranean region, with a cultural backdrop from the Middle East and themed around the world-famous story "One Thousand and One Nights." It features the One Thousand and One Nights Water Play Area, the Mediterranean Wave Zone, the Turkish Ancient City Zone, the Hurricane Bay Adventure Zone, along with supporting facilities such as changing rooms, shops, a medical center, and a lost children’s center. It boasts large-scale water amusement equipment and play areas including Aden Storm, Euphrates Slide, Simba Magic Carpet, Poseidon Bowl, Doha Slide, and Aegean Blue Sea (Wave Zone and Tsunami Zone), with a visitor capacity of over 10,000 people.

The Dream Valley Scenic Area focuses on the themes of "catastrophic thrills" and "cross-dimensional interactive games." Leveraging film and television production and high-tech presentation techniques, it creates a richly fantastical atmosphere and introduces a new trend in experiential tourism. It marks a significant shift for Hengdian Film and Television City away from static sightseeing-based tourism.

The two headline performances in the scenic area are "Fantasy Tai Chi" and "Flash Flood":

The world’s largest live volcanic performance, "Fantasy Tai Chi," uses the concept of "Tai Chi" to highlight the culture of "Harmony" from the "Book of Changes." It interprets the relationship between humans and nature, or humans and all things—whether conflicting or harmonious—and vividly demonstrates the philosophy that “harmony benefits all, conflict leads to destruction,” and that “harmony gives birth to all things.” The show makes full use of high-tech elements such as multimedia, lasers, and LED displays, and employs dance, acrobatics, magic, and cinematic special effects. With dazzling costumes, graceful dance movements, thrilling music, breathtaking stunts, and dreamlike colors, it presents an extraordinary artistic feast, allowing you to appreciate the profound wisdom of Chinese Yi culture in a joyful and exciting atmosphere.

China’s first catastrophic live-action performance, "Flash Flood," realistically depicts lightning, torrential rain, and raging mountain torrents, with two waves of hundred-ton floods rushing toward you in an instant—experience the thrill and excitement up close.
