Xu Gate is located south of Wannian Bridge in the western part of the city. Oriented from east to west, it is one of the ancient gates built when the Wu Kingdom established its capital during the Spring and Autumn period. It was named after Gusu Mountain (also known as Gusu Hill), which lies directly opposite. Feng Gate

Located in the eastern part of the city, south of Xiang Gate. Originally named Feng Gate, it derived its name from Fengyu Mountain. Due to the presence of (fish??)(fish孚) fish (Chinese river dolphins) in the nearby river, it was also called (鱼??) Gate or (鱼孚) Gate. Later, because the area had many ponds and was abundant in feng (wild rice shoots or water bamboo), it was renamed Feng Gate. This gate has been rebuilt multiple times throughout various dynasties. In the early Qing Dynasty, the gate tower was reconstructed and inscribed with the plaque “Clear Stream Reflections,” and a water gate was added. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), the gate tower was demolished. The gate itself was removed in the 1950s.
