The Shen Residence on Sanmaoguan Lane is a Jiangsu Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Shen Residence on Sanmaoguan Lane is an ancient building from the Qing Dynasty and a Jiangsu Provincial-level Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The residence is located at No. 26, Sanmaoguan Lane in the urban area, built during the Qing Dynasty. It faces south with a north orientation and spans five sections, covering a construction area of over 4,600 square meters, most of which consists of multi-story buildings. The western section features a five-bay covered corridor building with exquisite interiors, including carved flower baskets and plum blossom brackets on the stage openings. There are covered verandas both in the front and rear. The first and second sections of the eastern section are a Sino-Western style covered corridor building, with carved window frames and stage openings. The central section has a five-bay two-wing hall building with a crane-neck style front veranda, dating back to an earlier period. There are two brick-carved gate towers, inscribed with “Cultivate Virtue Diligently” and “Harmony Brings Prosperity,” both inscribed by someone surnamed Pan in October 1893 (the 19th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty).

It was listed as a Suzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 2009. On December 19, 2011, the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government announced it as part of the seventh batch of Provincial-level Cultural Relics Protection Units.
