The Tomb of Qian, a Man of Virtue, is located at the western foot of Tiger Hill and is a cultural relic protection unit of Suzhou. In ancient times, a person of talent and virtue who chose to live in seclusion rather than pursue an official career was called a "man of virtue." "The so-called men of virtue in ancient times were those of great moral character." Qian, a man of virtue, was such a person. His given name was Jinyi, and he was a native of Suzhou during the Qing Dynasty. Orphaned in childhood, he made a living repairing shoes. In his spare time, he taught himself the classics and history, becoming well-read and talented, maintaining a life of integrity and righteousness, and was known as "Mr. Shoe Repairer." He passed away at the age of 76 without any children. The local residents buried him, and he was laid to rest at the foot of Tiger Hill, with hundreds of people attending his funeral.
