Lanshi Cottage

Lanshi Cottage is a Suzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Lanshi Cottage is located on Jinfan Road and was designated as a Suzhou Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit in 2004.

Built in the 1920s, it is said to have been constructed by Zhu Xiyuan, an avid lover of orchids, who named it Lanshi Cottage and planted an orchid garden in the sunny area in front of the building. After the liberation, it was the residence of Liu Lin, former Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and former President of Soochow University.
