The Bailu Island Eco-Tourism Area is located in Baoying County, Yangzhou City, which boasts many honors such as China’s “Lotus Root Hometown,” one of the first national ecological demonstration zones, and an advanced county in national plains afforestation. The Bailu Island International Eco-Tourism Area has been awarded the title of National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site. It serves as the core area of the Yangzhou Ecological Agriculture Development Zone. The area’s 2,750-acre organic farming zone is an ideal destination for sightseeing. The Bailu Island International Eco-Tourism Area covers a planned area of approximately 10,000 acres. The initial development will focus on 3,500 acres of the former state-owned shipping forest farm and 4,500 acres of Baoying Lake (including the lake’s central islands) along the forest farm. The investment aims to build the “Jiangsu Bailu Island International Eco-Tourism Area” project, integrating organic agriculture, eco-tourism, eco-residential development, and ecological industry demonstration. The total planned investment for the entire park is 370 million yuan. The park includes seven functional zones: organic agriculture, eco-villa residential gardens, youth activity centers, comprehensive service areas (Lakeside Shan Zhuang Hotel), inner dike leisure scenic belt, lakeside scenic belt, and water celebration park. The park has become a tourist destination that combines ecological agriculture, eco-tourism, leisure vacations, and eco-residential living, offering people a great place to get close to and reconnect with nature.
