Yangshan Tang Park is located on the northeast side of Yangshan Tang in Fangqiao Town, Yixing City, and is one of the key landscape parks developed around the new Yangshan Tang urban area. The first phase covers an area of approximately 80,000 square meters, with a total investment of about 30 million yuan. The park is divided into four zones—A, B, C, and D—from north to south along Xiaohou Road. Zone A is situated at the entrance of the Yangshan Tang Scenic Area and mainly features a 2,000㎡ parking lot that serves Xiaohou Square, Chaoyin Temple, and the Loyalty and Filial Piety Cultural Park. Additionally, a hot spring hotel will be built along with a 2,000㎡ leisure dining area. Zone B is an independent island that houses a 1,000㎡ Youth Innovation Club for Fangqiao Town. Zone C is the main plaza area of the park, which is now largely completed. The plaza features a sculpture of Mr. Zhou Peiyuan, as well as public structures such as the Qiyi Gallery, the Famous Sages Cascading Water Wall, the Bishui Xiuti Embankment, restrooms, and a 5,000㎡ open plaza. This area primarily provides a space for the people of Fangqiao to commemorate local notables like Zhou Peiyuan, as well as for recreation and activities. Zone D is located at the southern end of Fangqiao Bridge and mainly includes designs for the Green Ripple Corridor, wooden boardwalks, a lake islet, a boat dock, and a teahouse. The first phase of Yangshan Tang Park also includes about 60,000 square meters of green planting areas, harmoniously integrating people, architecture, and nature. Fangqiao Subdistrict: Fangqiao Subdistrict was liberated on March 28, 1949 (lunar calendar). It was officially established as the People's Government of Fangqiao Township by an order from the Yixing County Military Control Commission. In October of the same year, the baojia system was abolished and the village-group system was implemented, with Party branches set up at the township level. From June 1949 to 1955, the area underwent the division into smaller townships, land reform, mutual aid groups, and the movement toward primary agricultural cooperatives. In February 1956, the first township merger took place, and it was renamed the People's Committee of Fangqiao Township.
