Yixing Xinqiao

Yixing Xinqiao is a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level in Yixing City.

Xinqiao is located about 1 kilometer east of Xinja Street in Yixing City, on the eastern side of the Nanjing-Hangzhou Expressway. In November 1996, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site by the Yixing Municipal People's Government. In June 2006, it was further recognized as a provincial-level cultural heritage site by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government.

Built during the Ming Dynasty, Xinqiao is a single-arch stone bridge oriented from east to west (slightly southeast at 17°), featuring 30 stone steps on each side. The main structure is made of bluestone, while the arch stones and roadway are constructed from granite. At both ends of the long tie stones on either side of the bridge are carved dragon heads. The bridge spans 31.30 meters in length, is 3.95 meters wide at the center, 5.20 meters wide at the eastern end, and 5.55 meters wide at the western end. The clear span of the arch is 8 meters, with a rise of 4.30 meters. The slope is 14°.
