Yangxi Bridge

Yangxi Bridge is a cultural relics protection unit of Yixing City.

Yangxi Bridge is located on Hexi Street in Yangxiang Town, Yixing City. In March 2003, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit by the Yixing Municipal People's Government. In June 2006, it was further recognized as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government.

Built in the 31st year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty (1552), Yangxi Bridge is a single-span stone beam bridge oriented east-west (30° southeast of due south). The main structure is made of bluestone, while the bridge deck is constructed from granite. It features lotus-patterned balustrade pillars, with 12 stone steps on the eastern side and 15 on the western side. The bridge is 18.20 meters long, 2.70 meters wide at the center, and 4 meters wide at the approaches. The slope is 19°.

Yangxiang Town: Located in the northwest of Yixing City, Yangxiang Town sits at the junction of Yixing, Jintan, and Liyang, and is one of Wuxi’s emerging small towns.
