Pengzhuang Garrison Site

The Pengzhuang Garrison Site is a cultural heritage site protected at the municipal level in Yixing City.

The Pengzhuang Garrison Site is located near the tea plantation in Pengzhuang Village, Xinjie Subdistrict, Yixing City. It served as a military camp where General Yue Fei stationed his troops during the Song Dynasty while resisting the Jin invasion. In May 2009, the Yixing Municipal People’s Government designated it as a municipal-level cultural heritage site.

About 10 meters southeast of the garrison lies a spring that has run continuously throughout the years, and it currently supplies water to the residents of Pengzhuang Village. Approximately 2 kilometers west of the garrison is Baihe Field, the battlefield where Yue Fei once fought against the Jin army.

Environmental Technology Park (Xinjie Subdistrict): In 2007, Xinjie Town was abolished, and its former jurisdictional area was merged with two neighborhood committees—Lvyuan and Wenchang—managed by Yicheng Subdistrict, along with five village committees—Nanhe, Tongfeng, Nanyue, Meijiang, and Xieqiao—to establish Xinjie Subdistrict in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province.
