Huanggan Bridge

Huanggan Bridge, located at the western end of Huanggan Village, Gaocheng Town, Yixing City, was designated as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit by the Yixing Municipal People's Government in March 2003.

Huanggan Bridge was built in the 20th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1894). It is a single-arch stone bridge oriented from north to south (with a slight southwest deviation of 40°). Each side of the bridge has 12 stone steps. It is constructed with a mix of bluestone and granite, featuring granite railings and balusters, with the tops of the four pillars carved with delicate small stone lions. The bridge is 11.95 meters long, 3.15 meters wide at the middle, with a ramp length of 6 meters, and 3.50 meters wide at the abutments, sloping at an angle of 19°. The clear span of the arch is 4.55 meters, and the rise is 2.65 meters. The bridge inscription stone is 1.90 meters long, the railing is 0.55 meters high, the bridge pillars are 1 meter tall, and both their width and thickness are 0.28 meters.
