Northern Slope Kiln Site of Huanglong Mountain

The Northern Slope Kiln Site of Huanglong Mountain is located in Pan Nan Community, Dingshu Town (formerly Taixi Village). In May 2009, it was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage site by the Yixing Municipal People's Government.

There are two kilns at the Northern Slope Kiln Site of Huanglong Mountain, located on the western slope of the Huanglong Mountain purple clay mine. Built along the contours of the mountain, one of the kilns remains largely intact. The kiln body runs from north to south, with a collapse in the middle that reaches a depth of three meters. From the collapsed area, the kiln bed walls and some remnants of fired products can be seen inside the kiln, including large jars and other items. The accumulation area of this kiln site covers approximately 1,000 square meters, primarily producing large items such as jars. About 100 meters to the west of this site is another kiln running from north to south, about 2.5 meters wide, with an accumulation thickness of around 3 meters. The main products here are pottery jars and teapots. The kiln site is adjacent to the Huanglong Mountain purple clay mine, borders Shanqian Road to the north, and features a pond formed by purple clay mining to the west. Due to the excavation of purple clay from Huanglong Mountain, the kiln site has been disrupted.
