During summer and autumn, visitors to the seaside all hope to take a refreshing dip in the ocean. The Lianyungang area features multiple beach resorts, the largest of which is located on West Liandao. It enjoys convenient transportation, an ideal location, well-equipped facilities, and boasts clear waters and fine sand. The beach is lined with tents and sun umbrellas, while the shallow waters are dotted with colorful swimsuits, creating a beautiful floral wreath around the sea. The Haizhou Bay Tourist Resort in Xiaokou, Ganyu County, stretches over 10 li of beachfront and is known as the “Northern Beidaihe of Jiangsu.” Here, you can not only play in the seawater but also participate in collecting shellfish from the tidal flats, which are then grilled on the spot—offering a truly wild and fun experience. The resort’s shoreline is equipped with various water amusement venues, where you can stay for several days. The famous coastal locust tree forest is covered with white blossoms in spring, filling the air with fragrance, and offers the unique spectacle of “locust forest moonlight” under its green canopy in autumn.

Smaller beach resorts include one in Xugou Town, the oldest and closest to the city center, which can be reached on foot; another is in Huangwo Scenic Area, and yet another in Xishu Scenic Area. Both are near fishing villages and offer the combined beauty of mountains and sea. These areas are currently being gradually developed.
