The "Diamond" Cliff Carving is a cultural relic protection unit of Lianyun District.

"Diamond" Cliff Carving (Qing Dynasty)

The "Diamond" Cliff Carving is situated on the western side of the southern foothills of Wanshou Mountain in Sucheng Subdistrict. In the 15th year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1835), Tao Shu, Governor-General of Liangjiang, inscribed the characters "Diamond" onto a protruding rock face. The inscription is in regular script, with the carved surface measuring 3.6 meters in length and 1.2 meters in height, and the characters about 40 centimeters in diameter. This carving forms a harmonious whole with the Wanshou Mountain Anti-Japanese Cliff Carvings, the Immortal’s House scenic spot, the Immortal’s House Cliff Carvings, and the Sucheng Reservoir Scenic Area, showcasing a rich accumulation of both cultural and natural landscapes.

Sucheng Subdistrict: 2013 Administrative Division Adjustment: The former Sucheng Township was abolished and Sucheng Subdistrict Office was established. After the adjustment, the administrative area covers 21.39 square kilometers, with a population of 4,525, and includes the Xiazhuang Residents' Committee and five Village Committees: Dongyawu, Gaizhuang, Baoshan, Dazhuyuan, and Liuyunling.
