Huang'er Tomb in Pingshan is located in Huangmuzhuang Residential Area, Pingshan Community, Yunshan Subdistrict. The tomb is entirely built of stone, standing 7 meters high with a 13-meter-wide entrance to the passageway. The chamber is square, constructed from stone blocks, topped with stone slabs, and covered by a 2-meter-high earthen mound. It covers an area of 600? (unit unspecified). Originally a burial site for the Huang family, it was later used as a hidden military cave. In the first year of the Jihe era of the Song Dynasty (1054), Shen Kuo recorded in his “Dream Pool Essays, Volume 4, Dialectic II”: “Northwest of Donghai County, Haizhou, there are two ancient tombs, referred to in the local maps and records as ‘Huang'er Tomb’.”
