Located on the western side of Paotai Peak, east of Nüwa Peak in Nanshan Mountain, Zhangzhuang Village, Chaoyang Subdistrict, Lianyungang District, Lianyungang City—near the ruins of Beihai Guanyin Temple, to the northeast of the meteorological radar station in the Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area. There are 15 stone inscriptions in total, including “Linglai Spring,” “Penyu Spring,” “Ganlu Water,” “Zhuoxi Spring,” “Tianxi Spring,” “Jinfo Chan Temple,” “Yiwoqing,” “Cengjing Canghai,” “Quyang,” “Wuchang xunsu, yixin nianfo” (meaning “Impermanence is swift, focus your mind on Buddha”), “Shui” (Water), “Amitabha,” “Wuzhen Stone,” “Bengyun” (Cloud Bursting), and “Qianwan Qiuxiang” (Myriad Changing Scenes). In addition, there are three more inscribed stones: a five-character regulated verse by Yang Tingzhen, an inscription reading “Zhang Jianxun bows in respect,” and one dated “Chongzhen Tenth Year.” The carvings are in intaglio regular script, characterized by powerful and vigorous calligraphy. This cluster of stone inscriptions provides important material for studying the religious history and calligraphic art of Lianyungang City.

In 2010, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage sites in Lianyungang City.

Centered around the “Ganlu Spring” stone carving, extending 150 meters east, west, and north, and reaching the cliff edge to the south.

Chaoyang Subdistrict: Following the 2013 administrative division adjustment, Chaoyang Town was abolished and Chaoyang Subdistrict Office was established. The adjusted administrative area covers 31.4 square kilometers, with a total population of 20,000. It governs two residential committees—Xinxian and Chao dong—and seven village committees: Xizhuang, Liuxiang, Hanli, Zhangzhuang, Yinsong, Mashan, and Shaji.
