Yangtze River Medicinal Botanical Garden

The Yangtze River Medicinal Botanical Garden is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Yangtze River Medicinal Botanical Garden is located on Changqingsha Island in Rugao City, Jiangsu Province, covering a total area of approximately 5,000 acres. With a total investment of 2.6 billion RMB, the project is invested by Jiangsu Changsheng Medicinal Plant Co., Ltd., and jointly planned and designed by the Landscape Architecture Design Institution of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and Zhejiang Urban Construction Landscape Design Institute, with technical support from the Guangxi Medicinal Plant Garden. In line with the global economic trend of "low energy consumption and high efficiency," and leveraging the location and economic advantages of the Yangtze River Delta, it aims to build an international platform for the development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry, ultimately establishing itself as a world-class medicinal plant garden and a national demonstration base for low-carbon, environmentally friendly, and scientifically sustainable development.

The Yangtze River Medicinal Plant Exhibition Garden is embraced by Shugang Road and Huan Dao East Road. The terrain within the site is flat, with numerous ditches and fish ponds, and the water system connects to the Yangtze River, offering favorable construction conditions.

With the core design philosophy of: carrying forward the heritage of traditional Chinese medicine culture, showcasing the charm of the hometown of longevity and flowers, and promoting the prosperity of the green health industry;

Aiming to create an internationally renowned medicinal botanical garden that features the appearance of a garden, the essence of science, rich cultural characteristics, and the fresh charm of a water town;

Organized spatially into a “one ring, eight gardens” layout by integrating the human body’s eight major systems with wellness culture nodes.
