The statue of the young martyr "Little Radish Head" Song Zhenzhong is a classic red tourism site and a patriotic education base.

The statue of the young martyr "Little Radish Head" Song Zhenzhong was erected in June 1989 in Kunshan Garden, Hongkou District. In November 1998, it was relocated to No. 67 Ouyang Road, at the Hongkou District Youth Activity Center, and designated as the "Hongkou District Patriotic Education Base."

Every year, elementary school students from Hongkou, Yangpu, Baoshan, Jinshan, and other districts hold induction ceremonies for the Little Red Star Children's Group and the Young Pioneers in front of the statue. They learn about the admirable qualities of China’s youngest martyr—his love for life, light, and learning—and strive to become new-century successors with lofty ideals, outstanding character, and all-around development. The "Little Radish Head" statue is free to all visitors and open for all kinds of ceremonial activities, with a venue capacity of 500 people.
