The former site of Lu Xun's book storage room is located at No. 1359, west side of Lane 1355, Liyang Road. It is a three-story wooden building with red tiles and gray bricks, facing south. Former Site of Lu Xun's Book Storage Room

Located at No. 1359, west side of Lane 1355, Liyang Road, it is a three-story wooden building with red tiles and gray bricks, facing south. Between 1933 and 1936, Lu Xun rented this house under the name of Kenichi Kamada, an employee of the bookstore Kanzo Uchiyama, and stored about 6,000 books here. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the vast majority of Lu Xun’s collection was preserved at his former residence in Beijing, so the book storage room in Shanghai was never restored.

It was designated as a protected cultural heritage site of Shanghai in 1977, but it remains a residential building.
