The Northern Modern Urban Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Park is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Northern Modern Urban Agricultural Demonstration Park is located at No. 288 Chengxiang Road, Daoli District, Harbin, covering an area of 12.7 hectares. It has two large glass greenhouses imported from the Netherlands totaling 10,140 square meters, one American GF-80 type greenhouse spanning 1,070 square meters, eight high-efficiency energy-saving solar greenhouses covering 3,400 square meters, one plant protection greenhouse, two heating greenhouses totaling 1,500 square meters, and 20 plastic greenhouses covering 13,340 square meters.

The park showcases advanced soilless cultivation techniques and grows a variety of rare, premium, and unique vegetable varieties, such as purple leaf gynura, edible cactus, endive, chicory, flame mustard, eggplant-shaped tomato, golden fruit eggplant, and ornamental peppers. "Plant cloning" and "agricultural industrialized production" are both realized here. In summer, there is a 320-meter-long, uniquely featured vegetable and melon corridor, cultivating over 40 oddly shaped fruits and vegetables. In winter, it becomes a "sea of green," where life continues endlessly.

In 2000, the demonstration park was named the "Harbin Youth Science and Technology Demonstration Base" by the Harbin Municipal Youth League Committee. In 2001, it was jointly designated as the "Harbin Youth Green Agriculture Practice Base" by the Municipal Propaganda Department and the Municipal Education Commission. It was also rated as a "National AA-level Tourist Attraction (Site)" by the National Tourism Administration, and in 2003, it was awarded the title of "Heilongjiang Provincial Tourism Demonstration Site." As the only agricultural unit in Heilongjiang Province recommended for the "National Tourism Demonstration Site" selection, it has played a crucial role in the park’s development.

Over the past four years, the park has trained more than 100,000 agricultural technicians and farmers through various forms, benefiting over 2 million farming households and establishing 15 branch bases. It has received over 300,000 domestic and international tourists, as well as primary and secondary school students participating in agriculture-related education, achieving significant social benefits and sound economic returns. It has become a modern agricultural demonstration area and model in the northern region.
