Harbin Qunli National Urban Wetland Park

With a total area of 34.2 hectares, the park adopts the advanced concept of the "life cell" in its design—viewing the urban wetland park as a large cell. To prevent interference from urban noise, vehicles, and crowds on the habitats of living species within the wetland, the design team planted a forest belt combining trees and shrubs around the artificial wetland to shield external disturbances, forming a solid "cell wall."

Outside the original ecological wetland and within the protective forest belt, a series of bubble-like artificial wetlands have been constructed. The original ecological wetland is regarded as the "cell nucleus," while the artificial wetlands serve as "cell bubbles," providing nutrients to the original wetland. At the same time, partial terrain adjustments have been made to the original wetland, additional wetland plants have been replanted, and various biological species have been introduced, enabling the wetland to achieve self-regulation and restoration functions in the future and be preserved in the long term.

Currently, 57 species of terrestrial flowers such as wild rose, iris, dianthus, and crabapple, along with 15 species of aquatic flowers including cattail, water hyacinth, water chestnut, and water lily, plus over ten thousand trees and shrubs, have all been planted. The park has officially opened to the public, allowing citizens to visit this national-level wetland park free of charge.
