The Heilongjiang Provincial Museum Group Li Branch, also known as the Harbin Songhua River Civilization Exhibition Hall, is a large-scale modern comprehensive exhibition hall jointly launched by the Heilongjiang Provincial Museum and Harbin's Group Li New District. It aims to showcase the Jinyuan culture and the civilization of the Songhua River basin.

The Heilongjiang Provincial Museum Group Li Branch is located in the eastern part of Group Li New District, Harbin, and is one of the scenic components of the Jinhe Theme Park. The architectural style of the exhibition hall is dominated by a large earth-sheltered structure, with an exhibition area of 2,702 square meters.

The Jinyuan culture is a unique flower nurtured and grown from the vast black soil. It is the most important regional cultural core of Harbin's urban culture and a significant component of Chinese civilization. Having been passed down through a thousand years and thriving continuously, it has made outstanding contributions to the formation and integration of traditional Chinese culture.

The elegant architectural style, distinctive venue facilities, and the exhibition design—refined through ten revisions—have together created the "Memories of the Songhua River – Jinyuan Culture" exhibition hall. To date, it is a premium Jinyuan culture exhibition that integrates contemporary high-tech, top-level quality, and immense cultural value. This exhibition hall is also the largest basic permanent exhibition undertaken by the Heilongjiang Provincial Museum since 1998, spanning over a decade, and holds extremely important historical significance.

At the same time, the successful opening of the exhibition hall has achieved a perfect integration of Jinyuan culture and modern civilization. It makes a positive contribution to the study of the civilization of the Songhua River basin and to the summarization of Harbin's urban culture. The exhibition hall itself has also become one of the iconic structures symbolizing the fusion of diverse cultures in Harbin, a city without walls.

The exhibition hall aims to allow visitors to perceive the brilliance of the Jurchen people, the profoundness of Jinyuan culture, and the regional culture of the mountains and rivers through carefully designed displays. Through rich historical information, visitors can touch the traces left by the wheel of history on this land and appreciate the hardships endured by the Jurchen people and their descendants who pioneered this region since ancient times. While sensing the course of history through touch, visitors can also feel the spirit of Jinyuan culture created by the Jurchen people with their hearts—especially the industrious, courageous, and indomitable national character and the unbroken continuity with today’s Harbin people’s pioneering and enterprising spirit.
