Kust-, the forest farms within the park area are an important part of the greater Xiaoxing'anling forest farms, with a forest coverage rate of over 90%. - Vast, primitive, and ancient, the ecosystem has a well-preserved structure. The communities are stable, and the area boasts abundant wildlife, plant, and fish resources. The surface and groundwater are unpolluted, with good water quality. Therefore, the park provides superior natural ecological environmental conditions. According to statistics, the park is home to 786 species across 148 plant families; the park has a relatively rich variety and quantity of economic plants. In addition to over 30 main timber tree species, the park’s trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, and vines all have significant economic value.

There are more than 400 types of economic plants in Kust-. They are mainly divided into woody plants, herbaceous plants, and fungi. Common woody plants include Korean pine, larch, and birch, which are widely distributed. Each displays its own—. Especially the birch forests, standing tall and graceful, give people a sense of purity and cleansing. Autumn arrives early in the Xiaoxing'anling region; every September, the forests turn into a riot of colors, making it the best season to admire red and colorful leaves. There are also settlements of the Oroqen ethnic group where visitors can experience minority culture.
