XinQing Wetland Water Conservancy Scenic Area

The XinQing Wetland Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area.

The XinQing Wetland Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in the northern part of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, and was built based on the Kangmei River Rubber Dam project.

The scenic area is classified as a wetland-type water conservancy scenic area. It spans both the eastern and western slopes of the main range of the Xiao Hinggan Mountains, featuring a diverse range of landscapes including rivers, lakes, forests, shrubs, meadows, and marshes. It is a typical representation of the Xiao Hinggan Mountains in terms of species composition, flora characteristics, community structure, and ecosystem level. The area boasts abundant wildlife resources, including 23 species of national Class I and II protected animals, and 5 species of national Class II protected plants. The scenic area enjoys a prominent geographical location, lying on the Yichun–Jiayin golden tourism route. Great emphasis is placed on ecological and environmental protection, with the construction of hydraulic facilities such as river dams to enhance the wetland ecological water replenishment system within the area.
