The maximum gradient of the river section is 4.5%, the maximum flow speed is 4.5 meters per second, the average flow rate is 7.14 cubic meters per second, and there are 4 dangerous rapids. The riverbed is strewn with large rocks, featuring many bends and waves over 1 meter high. The thrilling rafting experience is divided into four sections: Adventure Rafting, lasting just over an hour, is the most spectacular part of the adventure; Thrilling Rafting, also about an hour, showcases stunning karst stone forests along the banks as its most beautiful stretch; Rapid Turn Rafting, taking around one hour, features the most turns and is called a “dreamlike fairyland journey”; and Wulong River Waterfall Rafting, which lasts about an hour, features a 50-meter-wide waterfall, making the boat ride feel like entering a fantasy realm.

The Jinsha River is flanked by high mountains and steep ridges, with wildlife often found in the vast forests. The bushes are hung with wild fruits such as mountain hawthorn, stinky pears, dog jujubes, and mountain grapes. The thrilling Jinsha River rafting was first trial-launched on August 11, 1997, and went through multiple field inspections and trial runs before opening to the public in August 1997. It is known for its thrilling, dangerous, unique, and picturesque features.
