Meixi HuiLong Bay National Forest Park

Meixi HuiLong Bay National Forest Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national forest park.

HuiLong Bay National Forest Park was established in March 1993. It is located in the southwest of Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, 30 kilometers from downtown Yichun, 110 kilometers from Hegang City, 160 kilometers from Jiamusi City, and 339 kilometers from Harbin City, making it very accessible by transportation. In 2002, it was rated as a National Forest Park; in 2010, it was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction.

The total planned area of HuiLong Bay National Forest Park is 6,326 hectares. It has now developed a complete set of tourism service systems including food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, entertainment, and shopping. It is a distinctive northern forest ecological tourism destination integrating sightseeing, leisure vacations, summer retreats, and science education.

The scenic area boasts fresh air, lush forests and flowers, clear streams and pools, beautiful peaks and rocks, serene woods and open valleys. Surrounded by mountains on one side and water on three sides, the area has an extremely high concentration of negative oxygen ions, making it a natural oxygen bar. The natural HuiLong Pool covers a water area of 60,000 square meters, with an average depth of 8 meters and a maximum depth of up to 14 meters. It is home to over 30 species of fish and is praised by visitors as a “paradise on earth, a sacred realm of lakes and mountains.”

The scenic area features accommodation facilities such as the LinQing Villa, Mountain Villa Hotel, and Forest Villa Club, as well as dining facilities including the HuiLong Bay Hotel, Mongolian yurts, Korean Village, and multi-functional service and entertainment hall. It can accommodate up to 1,000 guests for lodging and serve 2,000 guests for dining simultaneously. The scenic area also includes a visitor center parking lot, commercial service center, office building, entrance overpass bridge, cable-stayed iron bridge, Buddhist culture attractions, HuiLong Temple, DongGao Platform, forest sightseeing boardwalk, zoo, outdoor swimming pool, hot spring, children’s playground, a 10,000-person square, HuiLong Pool water recreation area, fishing zone, Jinsha River rafting, Russian-style cultural garden, curved bridges, surrounding scenic roads, vineyards, and a green ecological supply base.

In 2012, the Yichun HuiLong Bay Workers’ Recuperation Center of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions was constructed here. To date, a five-star hotel with a construction area of 36,289.8 square meters in a North American forest style and the HuiLong Bay Bridge, which is 587.5 meters long, have been built. In the future, it will be developed into a “Recuperation Home” for the national workers’ health, wellness, tourism, and livability in a diversified manner.
