Xing'an Temple

Xing'an Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Yichun Xing'an Temple, located in the Yichun District of Yichun, the Forest Capital of Heilongjiang Province, is not far from the train station. Liu Jinghui, Chairman of the Yichun District Writers Association, once described Xing'an Temple as follows: “Lofty and majestic, it stands firmly on the Bowl Mountain, enveloped by the spiritual aura of mist and rosy clouds; auspicious and serene, it neighbors the crystal-clear waters, nourished by rain and dew.”

It cradles a range of peaks in its embrace, sitting upright like a grand master’s chair⑴; it drapes the green waves as its robes, lightly brushing against the Yichun River. To its left, it holds the sheer cliffs of volcanic rock, inheriting the ancient, roaring grandeur; to its right, it is linked to the leisurely suspension bridge, basking in the moonlit mountain scenery of the present. The Buddhist halls are rebuilt, rising impressively with the mountain; the monks’ quarters are neatly arranged, hidden within the woods and sheltered from the wind. The temples and shrines feature intricately interlocking roofs; the towers and gates showcase exquisite craftsmanship. The gilded tiles in blue and gold reflect the architectural styles of the Ming and Qing dynasties; the red pillars and dark walls blend the essence of ancient and modern aesthetics.

The mountain on which Xing'an Temple sits is shaped like a master’s chair, with a solid backing and supportive ridges on both sides. Surrounded by four mountains, it also resembles a precious ingot or bowl, making it a top-tier geomantic treasure land.
