Boli Petrified Wood Cluster

The Boli Petrified Wood Cluster is located one kilometer southeast of the town outskirts in Boli County. It was discovered in 1992 by Dang Lili, a cadre from Boli County, during her morning exercise. Wei Zhengyi, a paleontological researcher at the provincial museum, studied the site and concluded that these petrified wood fossils formed 3 to 60 million years ago. They hold significant value for studying the ancient geographical environment, climate, and ecology of the northeastern region.

The remaining section of petrified wood is currently 40 meters long and over one meter in diameter. The fossilized tree form is well preserved, with clear annual ring patterns, and the surrounding area consists of sandy rock formations.
