The site covers an area of nearly 10,000 square meters and contains extremely rich ancient cultural remains. On the surface of the site and along the cliff faces, stone tools, pottery fragments, fish bones, animal bones, and other skeletal remains have been found. Stone tools include stone axes, stone spades, stone adzes, stone knives, and stone spears. The pottery falls into two categories: one type is coarse, sand-tempered reddish-brown pottery, all handmade. The other type is also sand-tempered reddish-brown pottery but lighter in color, with a looser body and lower firing temperature, and is undecorated. Collected animal bones include those of wild bison and antelope horns. Artifacts excavated from ash pits include one polished bone needle, one bone awl, two smoothly polished stone arrowheads, and one shell ornament. The site spans a long period. Based on the remains, it is believed to contain two types of cultures. The first type of pottery and the artifacts found in the ash pits resemble the cultural features of sites such as Hutou Lazi and Erdaolingzi in the Jilin region, representing an earlier cultural stratum. The second type of pottery and the numerous polished stone tools are similar to those of the Xituanshan culture in the suburbs of Jilin City, dating relatively later within the site.
