Zhenlai County's Nanhu Ecological Park is located at the southern edge of the county town, covering an area of 1.45 million square meters. The construction took five years, beginning in 2002 with a total investment of about 15 million yuan. Nanhu Ecological Park is a comprehensive leisure park integrating recreational activities and sightseeing.

The park includes 2,560 linear meters of artificial green space, 1,360 linear meters of concrete slope-protected lake embankments, 10,000 linear meters of pedestrian walkways, 64 street lamps, 58 garden lamps, 86,000 plants comprising 28 varieties of trees, flowers, and grasses, as well as sculptures, pavilions, terraces, artificial hills, and pontoon bridges. Looking across the park, pathways stretch like long scrolls, trees are set like emeralds, flowers and grasses line secluded paths, decorative art pieces add playful charm, lights connect like a river of stars, shimmering lake waters ripple, seagulls flutter by, and reeds wave in lush green waves.

In summer, among a myriad of blooming flowers, vibrant colors and rich fragrances fill the air, with bees playing and butterflies dancing, birds singing in chorus. The vast, emerald-green lawns within the park offer a naturally soft touch to the landscape. The waters of Nanhu Lake sparkle clear and blue, with fish and shrimp swimming lively beneath. The surrounding air is fresh, moist, and cool. At sunset, dense reeds and cattails sway on the lake, and when a gentle breeze passes, the occasional glimmer of open water peeks through, mysterious and enchanting. In winter, the ecological park is draped in silvery white, transforming into a world of pure snow. The frozen lake forms a brilliant sapphire surface, like a diamond embedded in the heart of the park, shimmering brightly. Here you can play ice games like spinning tops on the ice, go ice-skating, build snowmen, have snowball fights in the snowy fields, and relive the childhood joys of northeasterners — the park opens its arms wide to welcome visitors from all directions.
