The Site of the Ancient City of Dawulantu is an irregular trapezoid in shape, with the city oriented 50 degrees southeast. The remains of the city walls are clearly visible. The southern wall is 213 meters long, 2.5 meters high, and 18 meters wide at the base; the northern wall is 230 meters long, 3 meters high, and 18 meters wide at the base; the eastern wall is 143 meters long, 2 meters high, and 15 meters wide at the base; the western wall is 151 meters long, 2 meters high, and 14 meters wide at the base. The middle section of the southern wall has a gate about 12 meters wide, with a barbican built in front, now standing 2.5 meters above ground level and opening to the east. There is no evidence of corner towers, battlements, or a moat.
