History: The predecessor of Fuyu City Museum was the Fuyu County Exhibition Hall, established in 1984; in July 1995, with the approval of the State Council, a new Fuyu County was established. During the division of districts and counties, the museum was placed under the administration of Fuyu County; in 2010, construction of the new museum building officially began in Sanchahe Town and was completed within the same year; in November 2012, the Fuyu County Museum relocated from Ningjiang District to its current address and opened to the public free of charge; on January 24, 2013, with the approval of the State Council, Fuyu County was abolished and Fuyu City (a county-level city) was established (as a county-level cultural relics protection unit), and the Fuyu County Museum was renamed Fuyu City Museum; in June 2015, the Fuyu City Museum underwent renovation and redisplay; on May 1, 2016, the Fuyu City Museum reopened to the public free of charge.
