The ancient city site is roughly square in shape, with visible remnants of an artificially dug moat outside the city. Scattered across the ground inside the city are a small number of broken bricks, tiles, and ceramic fragments. Near the western wall of the site, there is a large amount of red-fired earth and ashes mixed with iron slag, broken bricks, tiles, as well as the remains of stove pits, suggesting it may have been a handicraft workshop. Approximately 50 meters southwest of the ancient city lies another Jin Dynasty site, with surface artifacts largely similar to those found within the city. This city was one of the important military garrisons protecting the northwest of Hanshou during the Jin Dynasty.
