Shilingzi Chengzishan Mountain City is a mountain fortress site that preserves both Jin and Yuan dynasty cultural elements. The ancient city was built along the natural undulating slopes. The ruined sections of the city walls form an irregular arc, approximately 500 meters in length, and were constructed from a mixture of earth and stones. Uniquely, the defensive moat of this city was dug on the inner side of the city wall, contrary to conventional design.
