Diaoshuihu Waterfall is located in the middle reaches of the Sandao Gully River, about 40 kilometers northeast of Hunchun City, at the foot of Xuedai Mountain. It gets its name from the natural waterfall and over one thousand square meters of lake surface formed when the river is blocked by large rocks.

The waterfall features rapid currents and splashing waves, surrounded by high mountains, dense forests, and deep valleys. In spring, the green mountains come alive with fresh foliage, birdsong, and fragrant blossoms; in summer, lush reflections shimmer on the rushing, crystal-clear waters; in autumn, clusters of bright red maple leaves dot the green mountains and blue waters, creating a vibrant, colorful scene that is both refreshing and uplifting. Nowadays, it is hailed as the “Jiuzhaigou of the North” and is a great destination for sightseeing, photography, and vacationing.
