The Daganggou Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Base is located in the northern parts of Ying’an and Mijiang townships in Hunchun County, encompassing natural villages such as Zhonggangzi, San’an (Xiazhonggou), Shangzhonggou, Qingshuidong, Huanggou, Donggou, Beigou, Dabinlanggou, Xiaobinlanggou, Xudamagou, and Yangmuqiaozhi. Major relics include: the ruins of Beiyi School, the site of the Huangqu Soviet Government, the martyrdom site of the Thirteen Martyrs, the site of the first military preparatory meeting on Toutou Ridge, the site of the Hunchun County Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, the site of the Beigou Village Soviet Government, the ruins of an arms factory, as well as the ruins of a clothing factory and hospital. In January 1932, the Hunchun County Committee of the CCP sent 15 party members and league members to construct a hidden camp at Toutou Ridge in Daganggou, establishing the first anti-Japanese armed detachment in Hunchun County — the Guerrilla Special Operations Unit. In September of the same year, the Hunchun County Committee unified local armed groups into the Southern and Northern Mountain Guerrilla Units, with the Daganggou Special Operations Unit becoming the Northern Mountain Guerrilla Unit, thereby establishing the Daganggou Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Base. In December 1933, Japanese invaders implemented the “Second Phase Public Order Suppression Plan,” severely damaging the Daganggou Base. In April 1934, to preserve revolutionary forces, the Hunchun County Committee evacuated the Daganggou Base and relocated over 100 li north to the Jinping area of Wangqing County.
